A former Victorian shooting lodge, family owned Hambleton Hall sits in a jaw-droppingly scenic lakeside location, just over two hours drive north of London. A Relais & Châteaux member, the hotel has received widespread praise for its unpretentious but professional approach to hospitality for over 25 years. But the owners are not ones to sit back & congratulate themselves. The elegant public spaces have been recently updated & you’ll find careful touches such as vases of fresh flowers throughout the building. Meanwhile, bedrooms & public rooms have been re-decorated, combining comfort with carefully chosen antiques & traditional furniture.
