Venue Review of Swinton Park

Set in 200 acres of parkland, lakes and gardens, Swinton Park, just north of Harrogate, is a luxuriously appointed castle hotel with excellent facilities for residential off-sites. Each of the 31 bedrooms – including six generous suites – has been individually designed. Also on site are five function rooms with sweeping views over the lake and a wide range of country pursuits and teambuilding activities, such as the rather unusual bicycle polo. The restaurant, Samuel’s, serves modern British cuisine with an emphasis on fresh local produce and game. Groups of up to 12 can also enjoy its Chef’s Table experience during which the chef will cook and demonstrate techniques for the party. There’s an exclusive-use spa with five treatment rooms, while the restored Georgian stables have been converted into a state-of-the-art cookery school offering teambuilding packages and a wide range of day and residential courses.
