The country outpost of the cosmopolitan Soho House Group, Babington House is the original rural retreat for fashionable townies. Set in 18 acres of Somerset parkland, the members’ club, hotel and spa delivers laidback chic throughout, from the 32 individually designed bedrooms to the stylish event spaces. In the main house, the Orangery is the largest space, seating up to 90, while the Log Room can seat 32 at a long table. The two interconnect and can be opened up to accommodate 130 guests. The peaceful Library, Pool Room and Study provide smaller spaces and a smart cinema accommodates 45 for screenings. Leisure facilities are also impressive. An indoor pool, gym, sauna and steam room are offered in Cowshed Active, with treatment areas in Cowshed Relax, while cricket, croquet, tennis and an open-air pool are enjoyable outdoor alternatives. Exclusive hire is a popular option for weddings.
