Since its multi-million pound renovation and rebrand to join Starwood’s Luxury Collection back in 2009, Turnberry has been transformed from a seasonal golf resort to a year-round luxury destination. The property serves up 14 function rooms, able to accommodate just about any corporate or social event, from intimate board meetings right through to receptions for up to 400 guests. Stand-out meeting space The Caledonia seats 240, while the 16-seater Mackenzie Ross looks out onto the final green of the spectacular Ailsa course. Corporate golf packages are, naturally, a speciality, making use of Turnberry’s famous courses as well as lessons in the Colin Montgomerie Links Golf Academy. Weddings can be held in the Turnberry Suite, which offers sea views through floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto a private terrace. Other attractions include a a luxury spa and a fine-dining restaurant with a chef’s table.
