Dominating the promenade at Eastbourne, this majestic hotel, dating back to 1875, epitomises the grandeur of the Victorian seaside resort. Part of the Elite Hotels group, The Grand has an impressive façade and a fine selection of function rooms, suites and bedrooms – many with sea views – as well as elegant lounges and restaurants. Event organisers are presented with a range of 17 flexible suites, of which the Victorian Galleries, complete with ornate styling and period furniture, are a particular highlight. Both in-house restaurants have received numerous awards and afternoon tea here is an institution. The well-equipped Health Club, with its indoor and outdoor swimming pools, saunas and therapy suites, is open to all residents.
