Behind the art deco façade of Senate House is a series of event spaces that are just as suited to a large summer reception as an intimate civil ceremony. Three gardens sit alongside a spectrum of 15 function rooms. Largest is the west facing Malet Street Sunken Garden, which has capacity for up to 2,000 guests. Inside, the marble-walled Chancellors Hall makes an elegant setting in which to exchange vows in front of up to 140. The grand staircase in Crush Hall adds a sense of occasion to receptions and is perfect for photographs. Wedding breakfast packages start from £55 per person for a three-course meal, Champagne toast and after-dinner dancing.
