As we went to press, the brand-new, multi-million pound Goldsmiths’ Centre was set to open in Clerkenwell, just on the edge of the City. Fusing old and new, a purpose-built structure has been linked to a Grade II-listed Victorian school by means of a glazed Atrium that is itself suited to small receptions. The centre offers a further three spaces for functions, including a business suite with a glazed rooftop, allowing plenty of natural light to flood in – a feature throughout the building. The ground-floor Conference Space can be configured to suit a variety of events, seating just over 120, and the fourth-floor Agas Harding Suite opens onto a rooftop terrace and biodiversity garden.
