Since its recent £22 million redevelopment programme, The Royal Institution’s Grade I-listed building in Mayfair has been transformed into a flexible and stylish venue, suitable for large-scale conferences, dinners and parties. The restored Georgian spaces have been combined with light-filled contemporary areas, creating a bold contrast of old and new. There are 13 different event spaces in all and the layout is such that, when the building is hired exclusively, you could easily hold receptions for up to 700 roaming guests, with food and drink stations set up around the venue. Stand-out spaces include a five-storey glass atrium and a historical lecture theatre that seats 440 delegates.
