One of the two restaurants based inside the elegant One Aldwych hotel, Axis is a Covent Garden favourite for pre- and post-theatre dining. As comfortable as it is stylish, the main restaurant area seats 80 guests if hired exclusively or 180 for standing receptions, which work well in the space. Room hire is free, though a minimum spend applies. Overlooking the main restaurant area on a mezzanine level, the Axis Gallery offers a semi-private dining option that seats 18 guests and has its own bar. Menus are founded on sparkling produce and modern British cooking and service is efficient and gracious. Groups can opt for a guided champagne tasting to kick off a private dinner.
