Based just over the road from its proprietor, the Guildhall School of Music & Drama on Silk Street, Milton Court is a major new-build set to be ready for events in early 2013, with bookings being taken by the Barbican events team this year. The venue, designed by David Walker, will be offered for conferences, launches and live performances. Its event spaces will include the 608-seat Concert Hall, 227-seat Theatre and state-of-the-art Studio Theatre, plus three rehearsal rooms and a TV studio suite. The larger spaces will have full projection facilities, mics, PA, telecoms and IT kit available. There will also be an open-to-all ground-floor restaurant, and kitchens for contracted event caterers.
