Venue Review of The Crystal

Opening in time for summer 2012, Siemens’ £30m centre for urban sustainability will be located in the Royal Victoria Docks. The Crystal, a striking glass faceted structure built as a permanent showcase for sustainable technologies, will also be offering its state-of-the-art 270-seat auditorium for conferences. The venue has a range of flexible meeting rooms and breakout areas catering for groups of eight to 50 people. Additional areas include an atrium ‘street’ between the auditorium and exhibition, as well as a café and restaurant. Receptions and cocktail parties can be held in the main exhibition space, while private tours and a visitor experience can be built into event programmes.
