Like a beacon of British tradition amid the medley of cosmopolitan dining options in Chelsea, The Penny Black sits in a plum location halfway down the Fulham Road. Set across two floors, this intimate dining and event space will comfortably seat 80 guests, while the lower ground floor is available for private hire, accommodating 36. The in-house team works closely with clients to offer bespoke menus for events – be it a three-course set menu, a five-course tasting menu or wine and food matching menus (it was one of the finalists in 2011’s Louis Roederer Imbibe Wine List of the Year). For special occasions or corporate parties, canapé and cocktail receptions are another way to use the space.
