Critically lauded and amassing a loyal following among Clerkenwell’s business diners, North Road serves up stylish modern European food with a Nordic slant (and a Michelin star). The latest addition to the clean, minimalist interior is a mezzanine-floor dining space which accommodates up to 24 diners, closed off by a curtain. Larger groups can hire the PDR or the whole restaurant (for 90 seated, 150 standing) while smaller ones (of six to 10) can pull up a chair at the 500-year-old oak Chef’s Table. A five-course tasting menu includes seasonally led dishes such as razor clams and cuttlefish ink or Partridge with wild heather. Teambuilding cookery masterclasses are also available for groups of eight to 15.
