The Tower of London is just as iconic whatever the season, but it's hard to imagine a more stately setting for Christmas entertaining. Each of its seven function rooms is steeped in history. The medieval White Tower houses the armour of Henry VIII & Charles I, the vast fireplace & high-stone walls providing an imposing backdrop for drinks receptions of 250, before dinner in the New Armouries. For smaller banquets, St Thomas's Tower & the Wakefield Tower seat between 40 & 80 guests, with access to the panoramic Wall Walk & breathtaking views. The Martin Tower, home to the Crown Jewels for nearly 200 years, is a guaranteed showstopper for intimate dinners - a private view is a popular add-on.
