Conveniently located next to Blackfriars tube, SOCIeTY City opened in May 2011 as a restaurant, bar and cocktail lounge with capacity for up to 375 guests. Exposed concrete walls combine with colourful furniture to give the interior a contemporary look. There’s a private function room for up to 150 reception guests. For more intimate private dining, a chef’s table can host groups of eight. The modern British menu features the likes of crispy-skin breast of duck with creamed English spinach as well as bowl food, platters and canapés. Check it out for weekday parties: the venue has a late licence and frequently has guest DJs spinning tunes into the night.
