Aubin & Wills (an achingly cool clothes store and art gallery just off Bethnal Green Road) has a third string to its bow: a small but beautifully appointed cinema squirreled away in the basement. Created and run in collaboration with the Soho House Group, it’s the perfect venue for an intimate private screening, with 45 seats – a mix of armchairs and two-seater sofas – all accompanied by Aubin & Wills cushions and throws, plus small tables for drinks from the bar. It’s available for private hire during the day from Tuesday to Friday, with refreshments on-site throughout the day and lunch served at Pizza East around the corner. The cinema has Dolby Surround Sound and is 3D compatible.
