Council room
Built in the late 17th century, the Royal Society of Chemistry is a splendid Palladian building spread over two floors in Mayfair’s Burlington House. Much of the venue has a Victorian feel, dating back to the period when the RSC first took charge of the address. Now fully kitted out with state-of-the-art technology, its six light-filled spaces are available for private hire. The largest of these is the Science Room, a handsome room with high ceilings and courtyard views , ideal for receptions of up to 150 and sit-down dinners for 100. Caterer Vacherin is making quite a name for itself with its inventive chemistry-themed Canapés, presented in test tubes, pipettes and petri dishes.
