Venue Review of Kanaloa

The team behind Mayfair Sloane-magnet Mahiki teamed up with Sarah Harding (of Girls Aloud) to transport some of their tongue-in-cheek tiki magic to the Square Mile. Kanaloa is as kitsch as they come: a long black bamboo bar with lampshades made from exotic shells, a crazy paving stone floor and rattan screens all up the tropical ante, particularly in Treetops, a private area to the rear of the bar. The post-work crowd can’t get enough of the holiday vibe. You’ll be able to fit up to 180 for receptions in the Lounge or Bar, or 250 if you book the entire venue exclusively. Cocktails continue the tiki theme, with the famous Treasure Chest taking centre stage. Hawaiian shirts optional.
