Authentic but approachable, Masala Zone serves up vibrant Indian food in equally upbeat surroundings. In the Covent Garden branch, hundreds of colourful Rajasthani puppets hang from the ceilings. On the menu, street food comes in the form of curries and thali platters based on fresh ingredients and lively spicing. The total seating capacity of the restaurant is 155 but parties of up to 70 can be accommodated in the main dining room during lunchtimes and early evening, or around 50 for a later dinner. A 50-capacity private room is decked with theatrical masks but for those wanting to inject further colour into an event, Bollywood performers are available on request.
