Private dining
Since opening in 2008, the Royal Garden Hotel’s Min Jiang has been winning plaudits from critics and customers alike. The Chinese menu delivers integrity and appeal in equal measure, while the restaurant’s lofty position on the 10th floor of the hotel affords sweeping views over Hyde Park. The Chong Qing PDR is another crowd-pleaser, with space for 20 diners. Although furthest from the picture windows, clever use of mirrors on the room’s back wall ensures that light and views are reflected back into the high-ceilinged space. The room is shielded from the main restaurant by a glass wall and shelves decked with Ming vases. Don’t miss the kitchen’s speciality: wood-fired Beijing Duck.
