Described by National Heritage as ‘the grandest example of a Victorian ballroom in existence’, the main space in this Grade II-listed venue off Trafalgar Square is no shrinking violet. Up to 600 reception guests can be entertained beneath the soaring ceilings of The Ballroom, following a multi-million pound refurbishment that’s seen its period features immaculately restored. There is also a second 500-capacity space in The Old Billiard Room just below, bringing the exclusive-use capacity of the venue to 1,100. More intimate events can be held in one of 10 meeting rooms in the Northumberland Suite. Food is another strong point, thanks to the venue’s caterers Hamilton’s.
