TopGolf was invented by British company World Golf Systems, which has spent over £12 million & seven years developing, testing & perfecting its technology. It’s a unique electronic golf game that anyone can play, with microchips in each ball recording individuals’ performances, tracking each ball hit & providing instant feedback. Both golfers & non-golfers of all ages & levels can play with up to five people per golf suite, utilising handicaps that are calculated for each player after only three games are played to ensure fair point scoring. The company has three UK centres: in Chigwell, Watford & Addlestone in Surrey. The latter also has a ‘real’ nine-hole golf course on site, full gym facilities & space for 200 people to be entertained outside. A restaurant menu has recently been launched, geared towards the venue’s corporate clients, with a good selection of sharing food & hearty options.
