Venue Review of Household Cavalry Museum

The Household Cavalry Museum is one of Westminster’s most famous landmarks. Dating from 1753, it is still the headquarters of the Household Division – visitors can see troopers working with horses in the original stables and hear firsthand accounts of their training. Best known as the setting for royal ceremonies such as Trooping the Colour, the 9,000sq m Parade Ground – the site of the 2012 Olympic beach volleyball – is a flexible entertaining space with views of the Admiralty buildings and St James’s Park. Inside the museum, which was opened by the Queen in 2007, beautiful stonework and original 18th-century floors make a versatile backdrop for parties, launches and receptions.
