Great Room
Twickenham’s Marble Hill House was built in the early 18th century for the Prince of Wales’ mistress, Henrietta Howard. It was one of the most fashionable residences of the time & has been restored by English Heritage, retaining its sumptuous interiors & impressive collection of Georgian paintings. Set in 66 acres of wooded parkland, with views towards the Thames, the Palladian villa is available to hire for civil ceremonies & receptions. Its ornate Great Room is reached by a sweeping staircase, while the Tetrastyle Hall (once the elegant entrance to the house for guests arriving by river) has double doors leading onto the grounds. Both rooms accommodate 50 guests.
