Located on the third floor of the recently refurbished Royal Festival Hall, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a spectacular panorama of the Thames & the rooftops beyond, Skylon is the latest opening from D&D London, the company formerly known as Conran Restaurants. Split between a fine dining room & a more informal brasserie with a raised centrepiece cocktail bar in the middle, the restaurant can accommodate dinners & cocktail parties for groups of between eight and 240 guests. Fusing the 1950s style of the hall with some very Star-Trek chandeliers & other modern furnishings, the space itself has won awards for its design & the modern European menu is equally impressive.
