Audleys Wood Hotel Information:
Set in seven acres of lush Hampshire woodland, Audleys Wood was built in the mid-1880s for Sir George Bradshaw & was sensitively converted into a hotel in 1989. These days, the period grandness of the mansion is combined with modern-day comfort & a prevailing unstuffiness. From the diverse range of spaces, larger events can take place in the Gallery Restaurant, set in an original Victorian conservatory & palm house, or the Garden Pavilion, an elegant marquee, which has space for 200 for a sit-down meal. A selection of medium-sized rooms on the first floor – all with period features – are well suited to meetings. The enthusiastic team here is well worth consulting for ideas; picnics & pared-down country-style weddings are just two of the imaginative suggestions they have offered clients. Weddings are a strong suit, & bedrooms range from ‘special occasion’ suites to superior doubles.
