Tucked away in a peaceful cobbled courtyard in Mayfair, Hush is an excellent combination of a brasserie, alfresco dining area, restaurant, cocktail lounge, private rooms and wine boutique. On the other side of the courtyard is La Cave, a stylish self-contained private room, which can be hired out for private dinners for 12 people, or up to 20 for wine tastings. Make it as formal or as informal as you like, with blind-tastings, wine quizzes or focus on a particular wine-making region. All wines are sold at retail price, making the prospect economically viable too. Overlooking the courtyard on the second floor is Strictly at Hush, comprising three elegant private rooms inspired by the culture and ambience of Africa. Available for private parties and corporate events, the interconnecting spaces can seat up to 80 people for lunch or dinner, or 170 for a standing canapé reception, with the colourful, exotic décor and menus making for a memorable venue.
