Museum in Docklands Information:
The Museum in Docklands traces the history of London’s river, port & people from the arrival of the Romans to the rise of Canary Wharf. Located over five floors of a splendid late Georgian warehouse, the museum is Canary Wharf’s only Grade I-listed venue, built in 1802 & originally used to store goods from the West India slave plantations. Today, its original pine columns & floors are juxtaposed stylishly with contemporary fittings. Daytime facilities include a lecture theatre, a boardroom & two restored function rooms with quayside views. By night, guests can also enjoy receptions & seated dining in one or more of the museum’s 12 galleries.
