Great Hall
The Grade I-listed Royal Courts of Justice certainly lives up to the grandeur of its name. Opened by Queen Victoria in 1882, the vast Gothic building is a treasure trove of over 1,000 rooms. The stand-out space is the Great Hall, one of the largest rooms in the city (and surely among the tallest at 82 feet), featuring a mosaic marble floor, soaring arches and beautiful stained glass windows. It needs little dressing for events. The adjoining Bear Garden and dramatic Painted Room can be used individually or together, and the option for a ‘Michelin Experience’, with food created by Daniel Clifford of Midsummer House, adds to the appeal of these spaces. The venue is managed by Seasoned Events.
