Venue Review of 28 Portland Place
Designed by celebrated Scottish architects the Adam Brothers, this beautiful building, dating from 1775, is one of the finest surviving townhouses of its type. Splendid formal rooms have been sympathetically restored to maintain the character and tradition of the house, offering elegant backdrops for events. Ornamental mirrors, chandeliers and magnificent fireplaces adorn each of the five function rooms, which can be used individually or collectively for meetings, conferences and dinners for up to 100 people sit-down or 120 for a drinks reception. A secluded garden provides a tranquil setting for summer drinks receptions or buffets. Ampersand is sole caterer for the venue.
