The Science Museum celebrates its 100th anniversary as an independent organisation this year. To commemorate, three exciting new corporate event options are being launched.
WELLCOME WING 2nd TRAY. London’s most funky creative events space is now available for hire until the end of December 2009 only. Offering 666sq m of ambient blue blank-canvas, located within the futuristic Wellcome Wing, the 2nd tray is the perfect venue for wow-factor receptions, gala dinners or trade exhibitions.
FORCE FIELD. A new motion theatre for up to 40 delegates. Experience ‘Legend of Apollo’, an immersive 3D film using the latest simulation & effects technologies to provide a rare insight into the Apollo moon landings of the late 1960s & early 1970s. Force Field can also be hired exclusively daytime or evening for intimate teambuilding events, screenings & conferences.
DDR. For the first time, the Science Museum is now offering an extensive menu of day delegate packages, starting from just £68.50 +VAT pp (based on minimum numbers of 50). For conferences & away-days utilising the traditional & elegant Director’s Suite or ultra-modern Dana Centre, create bespoke events with cost effective & unique activities available in the Museum for added value.

It might have reached its 100th birthday in 2009, but the Science Museum’s popularity shows no sign of waning. Corporate hire facilities are more diverse than ever, catering for groups of over 1,000. Guests can dine beneath distinctive features such as the scorched & battered Apollo 10 command module & Stephenson’s Rocket, or dance in the futuristic Wellcome Wing. Meetings & conferences are equally well catered for in spaces including the new Force Field 3D motion theatre, cutting-edge Dana Centre or the 400-capacity IMAX cinema. Much is planned for 2010, including a refurbishment of the Wellcome Wing to feature a new Climate Change gallery.
