2008 Christmas Party Info: The Mermaid is gearing itself up for a cracking 2008 Christmas season, offering ‘The Maharaja’s Palace’-themed events. On arrival guests ascend a glittering staircase, adorned in a hanging garden cascade of floral forms, to arrive in the botanical splendour of The River Room. Windows are decorated in a painted procession of majestic maharaja elephants, while lanterns illuminate the walls. Anything from seated dinners to stand-up fork buffets can be accommodated.
