Venue Review of One Aldwych

One of the latest luxury lodgings to arrive in town, the five-star Montcalm hotel suits its location at the top of Park Lane. The property’s five lavish function spaces work well for business meetings, launches, dinners and drinks receptions. The largest of them is the Grand Ballroom, which has a capacity of 500 for meetings, and the smallest, the 20-seat private dining room. For standing receptions, the mid-sized Crescent Room accommodates 120 standing. Plasma screens and Wi-Fi are standard throughout. Bedrooms are glossy but comfortable and there’s a lounge for guests in the business-orientated Club Rooms. A sister hotel opened on Chiswell Street in the City late in 2011.
