Main Hall
Tucked away in a garden square off London Wall, Barber Surgeons’ Hall occupies one of the city’s loveliest locations. Although modern in design, it is steeped in history, home to the Worshipful Company of Barbers since the 1440s. Interiors are similarly polished. The centrepiece is the Great Hall – a bright space with elaborately decorated ceilings, wood-panelled walls and huge windows – but the smaller Reception Room, Court Room and Charter Room are just as immaculately turned out. The adjacent terrace overlooks a peaceful garden with a section of the Roman London Wall and the Company’s own herb garden. The on-site caterer is the award-winning Kudos.
