If you’re after an event venue with a slightly wilder side, ZSL London Zoo has plenty of surprises alongside more straight-laced function spaces. A choice of 15 function areas can hold between two & 260 seated guests, some of them spilling out onto terraces that overlook exotic animals’ enclosures in 36 acres of gardens. The zoo’s world-famous Animal Houses, which can hold up to 350 guests, range from ‘Rainforest Life’ to ‘Gorilla Kingdom’. Booking an ‘Animal Encounter’ as part of your programme is an absolute must. Popular experiences include feeding the penguins, a visit from Dana the lemur & cleaning the pygmy hippo’s teeth. The Mappin Pavilion is a popular spot for events for up to 80 seated guests. Smaller meeting rooms and a lecture theatre are also available. If you have guests of 300 or more, why not hire part or the entire Zoo after hours!
