Set in tranquil Kensington Gardens, Kensington Palace first became a royal residence for William and Mary in 1689. The Royal couple commissioned Sir Christopher Wren to create a palace retreat away from the noise and grime of Whitehall. Also the birthplace and childhood home of Queen Victoria, the palace has hosted the courts of countless kings and queens over the centuries. It’s a heritage that is reflected in the grandeur of its event spaces, from the Orangery, which can be combined with a marquee to hold up to 1,000 guests, to the Queen’s Gallery with its rich 17th-century interiors and secluded Sunken Garden, holding 80 for pre-dinner drinks.
