Common Room
The grand, Grade II-listed Law Society provides a historic setting for weddings, with two rooms licensed for civil ceremonies. We’d recommend the 150-seater Reading Room for the ceremony. Framed by marble columns & crowned by a large atrium, this is a formal & very elegant space with plenty of natural daylight. Guests can then move up the sweeping, red-carpeted staircase (great for pictures!) to the Common Room, where stained-glass windows, mahogany fireplaces & original candle chandeliers set an intimate tone for the wedding breakfast. There’s room for 160 guests in a dinner/dace configuration, or 280 for a stand-up reception. The same number could also be accommodated for a civil ceremony in this room.
