A thoroughly traditional venue in the City, Apothecaries Hall in Blackfriars dates back to 1632. The venue, home to the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries, has three function rooms suitable for use together or separately to host weddings. Of the trio, the stand-out space has to be the Great Hall, elaborately decorated with historic portraits, wood-panelled walls and a beautiful 18th-century candelabrum. The room holds 200 for a reception or 130 for dinner and dancing. For smaller celebrations there is the Parlour or the Court Room, both with a handsome but cosy feel. Catering is provided by the reliable Party Ingredients. Apothecaries Hall doesn’t have a wedding licence but there is no shortage of beautiful City churches nearby.
