Synonymous with Lord’s, the iconic pod that hosts the international press on big match days is also one of the cricket ground’s most striking event spaces. Its creation saw the vision of award-winning architects teamed with the precision of shipbuilding engineers to produce the world’s only single-shell aluminium building, perched 15m above the ground with panoramic views of the outfield and famous Pavilion. Inside, the ultra-modern space is decked out in white and sky blue, enhancing the feel that you’re floating in the air. This environment is perhaps best suited to creative meetings, making the most of all the modern AV, but it can also make a striking backdrop for receptions and dinners.
