The Worshipful Company of Haberdashers has had three headquarters in the City since 1461. This, the fourth, opened in Smithfield in 2002 and, with its contemporary design, has a very different feel to a traditional City livery hall. Built around a courtyard, it offers six striking rooms, the most impressive of which is the Livery Hall itself, clad in oak with stainless steel tracery in the roof to replicate medieval hammer beams. The Luncheon Room is decorated with wood panelling from the previous Haberdashers’ Hall, making a cosy space for dinners. Combine the elegant Orangery with the Courtyard to create an attractive backdrop for events. Chester Boyd is the sole caterer.
