The first JW Marriott Hotel to open in the UK, Grosvenor House – the grande dame of Park Lane – boasts some of the best large-scale event space in London. Sprawling across an impressive 9,978sq ft and with support from a clued-up events team, it’s no wonder its function rooms attract over 350 events a year. The best-known space is The Great Room, which with seating capacity for up to 2,000 dinner guests hosts a lot of large awards ceremonies. A second ballroom has capacity for 550 seated or 1,000 standing guests, while the self-contained events facility 86 Park Lane (see separate review) places 20 well-equipped function spaces on a single floor. All 494 bedrooms offer Wi-Fi.
