Housed in a Grade I-listed building, the Law Society’s collection of 19th-century rooms makes a prestigious setting for Christmas parties and end-of-year events in 2012. For the 'Mascheranda' - Venetian masked ball, drinks receptions will be held in the 210-capacity Reading Room, an elegant space with wrought-iron balconies, marble pillars and ornate features. Guests will then head into the magnificent Common Room for a meal catered by the exclusive caterers Ampersand, before the lights are dimmed and everyone is invited to the dance-floor. For a more intimate affair, the handsome Old Council Chamber and Dining Room Suite can hold up to 50 guests. The magnificent frontage is another of its charms – you'd be hard pushed to find a more imposing entrance in London.
