Cheyne Walk Brasserie
This former Victorian pub near the riverside in Chelsea is now a welcoming brasserie. Inside, the modern design combines warm tones with brighter splashes of colour, while simple wood floors contrast with ornate chandeliers. At the heart of the operation is an open grill that turns out honest, Provençal-inspired grill dishes, such as sea bream with lemon and bay leaves or perfectly pink rack of Pyrenean lamb. Canapés are similarly hearty: warm vacherin with crudités, strips of sirloin and tartines. The laid-back upstairs Salon is a gem. Guests can soak up stunning river views from chaises longues at informal events – jazz evenings are a speciality.
