Square Meal Review of Waddesdon Manor ?

The Waddesdon Estate was bought by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in 1874 to house his collection of paintings, furniture and art. The expanded 6,000 acre site features an 18th-century French-style chateau and wine cellar. The Dairy, a private lakeside building based on Mary Antoinette’s dairy at Versailles, is able to seat 110 for dinner. Windmill Hill, a research and archive centre that carries out the philanthropic work of the Rothschild Foundation, is also available for bookings, with space for 100 delegates. For guests looking to make a night of it, there’s also a Grade II-listed hotel, with 16 bedrooms and event space for up to 100 standing guests.
