Amid the boutiques and antique shops of Old Amersham village, the Kings Arms Hotel goes all the way back to the 15th century. In the less distant past, the 34-bedroom inn has been a regular on film and TV since an appearance in Four Weddings & A Funeral. Even more recently, it’s been carefully refurbished to retain the character that once appealed to Oliver Cromwell while widening its offer to include up-to-the-minute amenities. Central London is less than 40 minutes by mainline rail and the venue now incorporates the 18th-century Kings Chapel, which has a trio of spaces for meetings, small conferences and teambuilding events.
