Hotel Du Vin Glasgow

On a tree-lined Victorian terrace in the West End, Hotel du Vin Glasgow occupies what used to be five separate townhouses. Townhouses No 5 can be hired in its entirety and, with a secret terraced garden, makes a memorable wedding venue. Throughout the hotel, the best original features – oak panelling, sweeping staircases, open fireplaces – have been retained and there’s a cluster of whisky-infused event spaces. Taken together, the Ardbeg and Glenlivet have space for up to 80 people. With comfy chairs and a private bar, the Macallan suits more relaxed occasions. There’s a wine cellar for tasting events but, best of all, every hotel guest is offered a wee dram on arrival.
