High Timber’s reputation for Thamesside views and an excellent wine cellar has earned the venue recognition with City folk. The 100-seat dining room embraces the view with floor-to-ceiling windows, while a PDR for 20 is perched between the two wine cellars (with some 40,000 bottles). A cellar table seats 10. Wine isn’t the restaurant’s only strong suit, though: there’s a walk-in biltong and cheese room too. Tables of 12 or more can choose from a reduced version of the à la carte and bespoke menus can be created for bigger groups. Ethical food sourcing is a key concern and you’ll notice a South African touch on the menu.
