First set up in 1950 as a Methodist church, The Wesley is a socially-conscious modern hotel. Having housed more than 10,000 students in post-war Britain, it is now an impressive venue for finer
affairs, such as the annual Christmas bash. Its offering of traditional British cuisine makes for an authentic festive experience, with this year’s menu including Jerusalem artichoke soup with
truffle oil, roasted Gressingham turkey with pork and sage stuffing, and all the potatoes and Brussels sprouts you can fill your boots with. Don’t forget the orange and Cointreau trifle for
dessert. There’s no room hire, but a minimum spend is required. Prices start at £25pp for a three-course dinner. The hotel will also put together a selection of specially-themed Christmas cocktails
for your party.
