Anglesey, the Welsh island whose residents have lately included the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, is also home to this striking turreted castle, modelled on Château de Chenonceau in France’s Loire
Valley. Dating back to 1850, the Grade II-listed venue has been given a sympathetic makeover by luxury retreat operator AmaZing Venues and is now a popular destination for corporate retreats and
weddings. Its 80-seater Banqueting Hall is complemented by a quirky range of smaller entertainment spaces, including a subterranean Wine Cave that can host tastings or receptions for up to 30
guests. Over the festive season, the venue will be transformed into a ‘winter wonderland’. Exclusive and shared party nights are available during December, with prices from £65pp. Dinner-dance
events will take place on Thursdays, starting at £49pp, and include mulled wine and canapés on arrival, a four-course festive feast, coffee and mince pies, plus a disco and DJ. Christmas lunches
start at £35pp.
