London – all of it – is the backdrop to any event at Aqua Shard, the contemporary British restaurant on level 31 of western Europe’s tallest building. Even the toilets come with a view. Rooted
south of the river, it’s got a distinctly British interior with a three-storey atrium and swatches of Liberty prints from the banquettes to the menus. There’s a spacious private dining room for 22
if your event’s an exclusive one or there’s the Gin Wing, with space for 100 covers, for larger affairs. Its little sister, the Tea Wing, can seat 40 or entertain up to 150 if guests are happy to
stand. Hire out the whole place and you get space for 180 diners or a stand-up reception for twice as many.
